Impulse iTunes purchase pays off
Ever since I realised I could purchase products off iTunes through the use of my account, and so simply; i’ve been prone to impulse purchases. How can you resist after a Toy Story marathon not going and buying the soundtrack(s).
Well after establishing that fact let me diverge and then bring it all back together again.
As one of my roles at work being a Visual Effects and Motion Graphics Artist, majority of my time outside of work is either spent on gaming community forums, or in Photoshop fiddling, or on the countless Visual Effects and Motion Graphics Sites all sitting neatly in my bookmark bar. AETuts+, Video Copilot, Motionographer, Greyscale Gorilla, Trapcode, Motionworks, etc. (that’s only about half); they all find myself frequenting their equivalent spaces. And it would appear I’ve been finding a number of cool videos on Motionographer’s sidebar. One such video was the music video for Two Door Cinema Club’s What you Know. The style was awesome, the look was cool, the song was catchy.
To then come back to why I mentioned iTunes at the start, I went ahead and purchased the Deluxe Edition of their Tourist History album. 21 songs including a number of remixes but and as I traveled into work listening to them, i arrived and found the character artist who i share an office with, also was listening to the exact same album. From chatting we deduced we bought the album around the same time. Spooky. I then proceeded at the end of the day to head home and dance the whole way to their easily rhythmic musings.
